Accounting Specialist

Purpose of the role
Handle and review the company’s day-to-day accounting, record and classify financial events correctly, prepare financial reports, and take part in tax, insurance, and payroll work so the company’s financial information stays accurate and on time.
Main responsibilities
- Record and review purchase and sales invoices, expenses, revenue, and payments
- Review accounts receivable and payable, and follow up on amounts owed and amounts due
- Record and review petty cash and the company’s running expenses
- Prepare periodic financial reports, including revenue, expenses, profit and loss, and cash flow
- Help close monthly and yearly accounts and prepare the trial balance
- Review financial documents and make sure the supporting records are complete
- Help prepare and file tax and VAT reports and other legal filings
- Help prepare insurance and payroll lists and review the related calculations

- Every financial event recorded accurately and on time
- Bank, receivable, and payable accounts kept up to date
- Accurate, reliable weekly financial reports
- Tax, insurance, and audit documents ready when needed
- Financial information management needs for decisions, delivered on time
Skills and competencies
- A solid grasp of accounting principles and concepts
- Hands-on experience in company accounting
- Fluency in Sepidar accounting software and Excel
- Familiarity with tax, insurance, and labor regulations
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial reports
- High accuracy and attention to detail
Experience and preferred background
- At least 2 years of related experience in company accounting
- Preferably experience at a technology or startup company
- Familiarity with the financial processes of small and medium-sized companies
